International Technical Conference (ITC) had started by the Department of Civil and Structural Engineering (JKAS), Faculty of Engineering and Built Environment, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM), organizing seminars with selected leading industries in Malaysia since 2003. Initially UKM had organized seminars regularly with Jurutera Perunding Zaaba Sdn. Bhd. (JPZ), one of the leading indigenous consulting engineers in Malaysia. From since 2008, the ITC was jointly organized by UKM, JPZ and Chung-Ang University (CAU). That’s the first year when the current format of the ITC, jointly organized by UKM, JPZ and CAU initiated. The history of ITC is as follows:
- 1st ITC Joint Conference: 2008. Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
- 2nd ITC Joint Conference: 2010. Seoul, Korea
- 3rd ITC Joint Conference: 2012. Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
- 4th ITC Joint Conference: 2014. Seoul, Korea
- 5th ITC Joint Conference: 2016. Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia
- 6th ITC Joint Conference: 2018. Semarang, Indonesia
- 7th ITC Joint Conference: 2023. Seoul, Korea
Organisers: Chung-Ang University, Univeristy Kebangsaan Malaysia, Polines, KIBIM
International Technical Conference (ITC) is a biannual conference organized by Chung-Ang University in Korea, UKM in Malaysia and JPZ, one of the leading consulting engineers in Malaysia. The conference is aimed to bring together engineers, practitioners, scientists, and researchers to share their knowledge, expertise, and experience in the disciplines of civil, urban, environmental, electrical and electronic engineering. The official language of the conference will be English. Authors have to submit an abstract with 300-500 words. Authors of accepted abstracts are required to submit three pages of an extended abstract or seven pages of a full paper for the publication in the conference proceedings. Formats for an abstract and a full paper should follow the format given in the following example files. All the figures, tables and references are counted together with text for the number of pages. The presenting authors of accepted papers are required to complete pre-registration. Papers and technical articles are very much welcomed to be presented in the following areas:
Theory and Advanced Technology of Engineering Structures
Bridge Engineering
Geotechnical Engineering
Nondestructive Testing and Evaluation
Geophysical Exploration
Environmental Engineering
Construction Management
Civil Engineering Materials
Water Resources Engineering
Atmospheric Sciences
Ocean Engineering
Transportation and Pavement Systems
Electrical and Electronics Engineering
Building Information Modeling/Digital Twin/MR
Smart Planning and Construction Information System
Smart Energy and Environment
Smart Mobility
AI based Architecture
It is possible to submit a paper for the following mini-symposiums.
MS1: Building Information Modeling
MS2: AI based Architecture
MS3: Smart Construction
MS4: 3D Concrete Printing
MS5: Smart City
All accepted papers will be published in the conference proceedings which will be available to all participants on the first day of the conference. For your information, some of the selected papers from the conference proceedings will be considered as candidates for publication in a SCOPUS journal in the future, such as Lecture Notes in Civil Engineering (ISSN: 2366-2557, Publisher: Springer). It would be also recommended to submit a full paper, which can be potentially published in the SCIE journals, Water (Special Issue entitled "Advancements in Water and Soil Related Disaster Prevention: Exploring Emerging Topics and Innovations" - https://www.mdpi.com/journal/water/special_issues/7PYRCR723R) and Remote Sensing (Special Issue entitled “Remote Sensing and Beyond: Unraveling the Complexities of Earth’s Water and Carbon Cycles” - https://www.mdpi.com/journal/remotesensing/special_issues/FTA9II61KP). Submission of abstracts and papers can be made by e-mail to itc2023@itc2023.org.
